Fully certified with Distinction across Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, she also holds specialised training in injuries and special populations, prenatal and postnatal Pilates, and breast cancer programming.

Anna
Founding Teacher · The Method by ROUX™ · Co-Founder, Inna Essence
Anna is Co-Founder of Inna Essence, the award-winning Brisbane studio named AUSactive Pilates Business of the Year 2025. She is fully certified across Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels, with further specialised training in injuries and special populations, prenatal and postnatal Pilates, and breast cancer programming.
She came into teaching with a personal passion for helping clients feel better and move better in their everyday lives. Over the years her own training and teaching has evolved well beyond that — supporting clients through injury rehabilitation and guiding them back to fitness after the big changes life brings.
Anna loves the energy of a group class, and finds just as much reward in private work, watching a client progress session by session. She is known for her thoughtful use of props and modifications to help every client get the most from their movement practice, educating them along the way so they understand their own bodies better. As a Founding Teacher of The Method by ROUX™, she brings that same approach to the instructors she trains.
Monica
Founding Teacher · The Method by ROUX™
Monica discovered Pilates eight years ago and quickly experienced its transformative impact on her health and fitness. Pilates helped her rebuild strength, improve her overall fitness, and develop a deeper appreciation for mindful movement. Inspired by her own journey, she began teaching movement in 2019 and qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2020.
Monica is especially passionate about the application of Pilates for injuries and special populations, believing that movement can be adapted to support people of all abilities and life stages. One of the most rewarding aspects of her work is witnessing clients grow stronger, move with greater confidence, and improve their quality of life. As a Founding Teacher of The Method by ROUX™, she is dedicated to mentoring and nurturing the next generation of Pilates instructors.
Yuji
Founding Teacher · The Method by ROUX™
Yuji’s journey into movement began through injury and recovery. Experiencing both physical pain and the emotional challenges that came with it taught her that true healing happens when the body and mind reconnect.
That experience shaped the way she teaches today. A fully certified Pilates instructor with additional certifications in suspension-based Pilates, barre, and bungee fitness, her goal is not simply to help people move better, but to help them rediscover confidence, resilience, and trust in their own bodies. She believes every movement should have a purpose — sometimes focusing on precise details, other times encouraging bold, intentional movement to help each client achieve their goals.
As a Founding Teacher of The Method by ROUX™, Yuji brings this purpose-driven approach to training the next generation of instructors.
Joanne
Founding Teacher · The Method by ROUX™
Joanne is a fully certified Pilates instructor with comprehensive training across Mat Pilates, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrels, Advanced Mat, and Injury & Special Populations. Her continuing professional development spans pre & postnatal Pilates, breathing technique, rotational disk work, and shoulder girdle injuries.
As a Founding Teacher of The Method by ROUX™, Joanne enjoys sharing practical cueing techniques that help create better movement — understanding how to activate the body in the right sequence makes a significant difference to flow, control, and movement quality.
Emily
Founding Teacher · The Method by ROUX™
Emily came to Pilates when she felt her body desperately needed realignment from work. She tried almost every form of exercise, but Pilates was the one that truly changed her body, her posture, and her mind — so she chose it as her exercise for life. That led her to become a fully certified Pilates instructor, and she continues to study and train to this day. For Emily, learning never ends: Pilates is a lifestyle, not just exercise.
As a Founding Teacher of The Method by ROUX™, she believes Pilates influences your body, mind, and life — helping you become healthier, more positive, and happier — and she wants every client to experience the same positive change she did.
Lia
Founding Teacher · The Method by ROUX™
Lia came to Pilates out of curiosity. She grew up playing a lot of sport and always enjoyed moving, but had never really understood the science behind how the body works. During her training she became fascinated by the body itself, and by how much Pilates can change the way we move, build strength and support overall wellbeing.
After completing her first certification she wanted to go deeper, which led her to further comprehensive training with Rouxchelle. That experience gave her a far richer understanding of movement and deepened her love of the work.
Lia’s teaching is calm, detailed and encouraging. She uses clear verbal cues to help clients connect with their movement and challenge themselves safely. What she loves most is watching clients progress — helping people understand their own bodies is what makes teaching so rewarding. As a Founding Teacher of The Method by ROUX™, she brings that same patient, detail-led approach to the instructors she trains.
